This morning I noticed that the Taken 2 poster has hit the net. This sequel to the surprise hit of 2008 original sees Liam Neeson’s character take his daughters place as the one who is abducted, which is understandable given the amount of people he annoyed in the previous film. What worries me about this sequel is the director, Olivier Megaton. This director single handily destroyed the Transporter franchise and returned with the equally dismal Colombiana. He has no idea how to visually tell a story or pace a film, his action scenes are sloppy and the cinematography and editing ruin any redeeming features of his films. Maybe he should of stuck with Graffiti. Anyway the film appears in theatres sometime in October, with the possibility of the UK getting the movie first. Well, if it follows the same pattern as the first one.
