His fist hungers for justice…

While this new trailer doesn’t actually feature anything from the new film, DreamWorks has at least come up with a way to keep Kung Fu Panda 2 (AKA The Kaboom of Doom) in our minds thanks to some Jack Black riffing, some trademark pop culture referencing and a staring competition.

Yes, we said staring competition. It’s actually a funny little moment in a teaser that spends most of its time locked on Po the panda’s eyes.

We’re promised that the movie itself will see Po solidly ensconced within the ranks of the kung fu masters, helping the Furious Five – Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey – protect the Valley of Peace.

But when the villainous Lord Shen (Gary Oldman) unveils a new super weapon that seems to be a match for their fighting skills, Po and his friends must journey to discover the our hero’s origins and find a way to stop Shen and his devious plan to conquer China.
