Xbox One Coming to China on September 29

Microsoft, along with Chinese partner BesTV, will launch the Xbox One in China on September 29. The Xbox One will be the first video game console to be sold in China in fourteen years. The PS4 is also due to launch in China early next year. The announcement comes just days after Microsoft announced that the launch of the Xbox One in China would be delayed until later this year. Along with free access to Xbox Live Gold through March, ten games will be available at launch for Chinese gamers. Those games are:

  • Forza Motorsport 5
  • Kinect Sports Rivals
  • Powerstar Golf
  • Zoo Tycoon
  • Max: The Curse of Brotherhood
  • Dance Central Spotlight
  • Neverwinter Online
  • Rayman Legends
  • Trials Fusion
  • Naughty Kitties (a Chinese developed ID@Xbox game)
 Microsoft notes that over 70 other games are awaiting approval, including Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Killer Instict, and Ori and the Blind Forest. GameFY, Skype, and Game DVR functionality will all be available at launch, with a variety of other apps to follow. Xbox One will be sold at over 4,000 retailers, in 37 cities throughout China. The Kinect version will cost ¥4299 RMB (just over $700 USD), while the Kinect-less SKU comes in at ¥3699 RMB (just over $600 USD).
Microsoft has also recently made another price cut in the UK.
