Back to the Future Props Fetch Record Price

 Profiles in History’s special Back to to the Future props & costumes auction to benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation‘s Team Fox reached record heights on Saturday, November 6.

Among the items sold were a 1:1 full-scale replica of the DeLorean Time Machine ($95,000), Marty McFly’s 2015 jacket ($75,000), one of Marty’s 2015 self-lacing Nike shoes ($14,000), and a Grays Sports Almanac ($15,000).

A number of prop newspapers which Back to the Future creator Bob Gale donated to the auction attrached an average of $3,000 each.  In all, more than $247,000 was spent by collectors for the rare Back to the Future production items.
